Hey there!

My name is Jake Kincaid, I am currently a Multi-Day guide for REI focused on the Yosemite area. We are getting more folks into the backcountry to enjoy the beauty of Sierra Nevada.

Along the way I like to educate as well as learn about the Ecosystems, Geology and Culture that has shaped the majestic landscapes we hike through.

I graduated from Chico State with an Environmental Science degree focused on ecology. I focused much of my research projects on fire ecology and wetland ecosystems.

With experience in the field as a Restoration Biologist, I also have experience working to rebuild ecosystems that have since been degraded within the Sacramento Valley.

I would love to help be an educator on climate resiliency and environmental science.

On the weekends I am running, playing basketball with friends or going on trips with my girlfriend Noelle. I look forward to moving to Phoenix Arizona with her in August of 2023
