Graphic Design

As the graphic’s manager for Chico State’s Adventure Outings, part of the associated students, I was in charge of coordinating and designing media for our program. This included new logos and posters and videos advertising our trips for the semester. With my designs ending up in print and digital advertising campaigns.

FIND YOUR ADVENTURE

I was in charge of creating a multimedia ad campaign for the program. With Find Your Adventure our goal was to allow viewers of our videos to be able to take a break from their social media feeds with sights and sounds of nature. With 30 seconds the videos captured a moment of peace in nature that captured our attention. Find Your Adventure videos were posted on Adventure Outings Facebook and Instagram feeds as well as played during in class announcements.

Poster Design

Posters were the main way we would advertise our trips at Adventure Outings. Every semester I was in charge of designing and printing calendars as well as trip specific ads for the program. These posters were placed across the Chico State campus and told students when our trips were going out.

Trips

I also was involved in Adventure Outings trips. I was both an assistant leader as well as a trip leader for trips during the semester and during the summer. The summer trips were a part of a connected program called Wildcat Wilderness Orientation designed for incoming students to have a great first experience as a Chico State student. On these trips I coordinated with team members on travel itinerary, mapping, food plans as well handling participant relationships in a professional manner. I helped create the Outdoor Photography Workshop that has had many successful adventures into Lassen National Park. As a leader in the program I took CPR First Aid courses through the Red Cross and became well versed in mapping and navigation.
